Certificates
How long is my certificate valid for?
This varies depending on the certificate. Workplace first aid courses are valid for 3 years, while BLS Provider courses are valid for 1 year.
Is my certificate valid for work?
This depends on your work, and what course you select. All Aurora Training Corp. programs are run through either the Canadian Red Cross or Heart & Stroke Foundation, which are accepted nationally. While we can give general advice, it is not possible for us to know exactly what course every employer requires; please ask your employer what course you need, and we can help you select the correct one on our site.
How do I get my certificate? Where is my certificate?
Red Cross first aid certificates are sent directly from the Canadian Red Cross to the email address you provided at the course. This can take 1-2 business days after your course finishes.
Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS certificates are uploaded by the HSF directly to your account at cpr.heartandstroke.ca . Check your email for your username and password and follow the instructions to login and download your certificate.
